Pvt. Henry Williams was a member of Company G, 51st Regiment, U. S. Colored Infantry. We were the first to research, document, and confirm his burial in East End Cemetery in July, 2015. Pvt. Henry Williams is one of the three United States Colored Troops buried in the historic cemetery.

Pvt. Williams was originally added to the East End Cemetery database, on FindaGrave, on July 31, 2015. We were not informed by the Friends of East End that his burial site had been (possibly) found in 2017 (we had to be a partner to receive that information). Nevertheless, we are happy that Henry Williams’ grave site has been located within the cemetery.
